The Charleston Gambit Asheville Theatre reviews
Death Cab for Cutie -- a little weird
The venue really made it a fun summer, hassle-free experience, I thought the show was great. Good microbrew beer and low-fat food at the concessions, even for the farther away seats, close parking, intimate venue. I would go back for a show at Marymoor anytime.
The crowd was receptive, Ra Ra Riot was fantastic. I was not a fan of the New Pornographers.
If a bit canned, The Charleston Gambit had great sound and was very "professional." They were only on stage for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and they played their biggest "hit" song about 45 minutes into the show. The weird part was that after which at least a quarter of the crowd left! The Charleston Gambit should leave the crowd pleaser to the end of the show.
